Digital Literacy

For Clients                                                                         For Employers

In today’s world technology is everywhere meaning digital literacy is now more important than ever. Covid-19 has only amplified this. The ability to find, evaluate, utilize and create information using digital technology is critical for job seekers, employee and employers.

Our Digital Literacy Skills program is designed to provide people with disabilities, affected by COVID-19, with digital literacy training. TEAM Work has designed this Program so people with barriers to employment understand what digital tools are required for employment and living well in community. The participants will partake in six weeks of training with the goal of connecting to employment. TEAM Work Cooperative will provide the employer with a wage subsidy of $14 per hour, for twelve weeks, as a way of helping employers become disability confident. TEAM Work trainers, along with industry experts, will provide relevant training to help participants connect to employment using a digital approach.

Employer partnership, attention and engagement is essential. TEAM Work’s Digital Literacy Program will provide employers with funding, resources, communications, skill enhancements and onboarding support to the up-skilled and ready-to-work individuals. TEAM Work will also provide the new employee with assistive devices/accommodations required to help be effective and successful in the workplace.
